Simple future tenses examples and exercise

while the simple future tense is relatively straightforward, its usage is influenced by context, tone, and intention, allowing for a range of expressions beyond just stating a future action.





                        SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE

FORMULA: (For all tenses is same)

Subject           +will   +  verb 1st form + object

He                   will      pay                my wages tomorrow.

                     will     repair             your computer next month.

We                  will     meet               the Prime minister after two weeks.

Imran             will       save               me from those hurdles of life.

You                will      teach              me this lesson.

She                 will       sit                   on the chair definitely.                 

 

  INTERROGATIVE: FORMULA

Will      + subject   + verb 1st form      + object.

Will       he                  pay              my wages tomorrow?   

 NEGATIVE: FORMULA

Subject   +  will not   + verb 1st form  + object.

He            will not        check              my website tomorrow.

HOMEWORK: Change the remaining sentences to interrogative & negative as per the formula.

CAN WE USE “WOULD” AS HELPING VERB IN SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE?

 Yes, we can use "would" as helping verb in simple future but the meanings of the sentence are not always the same.

Read the following two examples: 

I will call him later today.  (Certain / sure)

I would him call later today if I was free. 


Class work:

Put the verbs in parenthesis in simple future form. One has been done for you.

We (play) cricket.       We will play cricket.

·         I  (like) to read books.

·         They (are) running a campaign.   

·         Many people (serve) you. 

·         They (anticipate) your wishes.

·         You (not / have) any problems.
